Information systems are powerful tools that enable businesses to leverage the power of technology to optimize their operations. By leveraging the power of data, these systems can be used to strategically manage resources and create efficiencies that can contribute to a company’s success. Furthermore, these systems can be used to collect, store, and analyze data, allowing for the creation of dynamic, actionable insights that can inform decision-making processes. Ultimately, information systems can be a great asset to any organization looking to maximize their performance.

The knowledge of basic electronics, computer programming and engineering mathematics has become crucial in today’s rapidly developing world. As an engineering student, I was always enthralled by the pace of development taking place worldwide. My interest led me to explore the realm of technology, which is why I went on to explore the discipline of technology (where the aforementioned subjects are fundamentally included). Here, I shall elaborate upon my academic pursuits, along with the various projects and work experiences that I have been a part of, to substantiate why I want to pursue higher studies in the aforementioned discipline.

I completed my graduation from the Vignan Institute of Technology and Science, in Electronics and Communication Engineering. This provides me the first formal certification and experience to pursue higher education in the aforementioned discipline. Furthermore, I have always been an avid explorer of new-age technologies and innovative efforts, especially in the digital sphere. I have significantly honed my knowledge-base and skill-set, to learn more about emerging technologies and thrive to establish a career, ultimately contributing towards the developmental-streak of my own home country.

When it comes to the advent of technological progress, the age of computers and the inception of our digital revolution, the USA is indefinitely the first and foremost place to study. Some facets that stand out are, firstly the emergence of globalized tech-giants such as Apple, Microsoft, Google and more; the establishment of historically relevant sites, such as Silicon Valley; and the allowance of world-class educational facilities. As a student, one would be able to visit such relevant sites, know about the history of emergence and witness the development of technologies in person. These are opportunities other countries wouldn’t be able to readily provide, to aspiring students and practitioners.

The aforementioned university further adds towards my decision to study in the USA, firstly because its course-structure adequately suffices my academic needs. From what I have gathered from primary and secondary sources, in my research on universities across the world, the faculty here is well-equipped to provide students with a self-reflective and transparent mode of learning. The courses are practically oriented, which means I would be able to practice simultaneously, as I hone my knowledge-base and indulge in field-based activities to put myself to test. So, with the provisional aspects of the university, along with the historical and geographical significance of the country, my confirmation to study here stands firm.

I have worked on the following three projects:

  • Automatic Pet Feeder.
  • Design and Analysis of Microstrip Antenna with U-Slotted Rectangular Patch Array for Wireless Communication.
  • Coal Mine Safety Monitoring and Alerting System.

It is worth noting that all three projects are concerned with the development of technologies that heightens the mode of convenience regarding anthropocentric processes/activities.

I have the experience of working as an intern for a Skill Development Program, on Antenna Design using HFSS, CST and FEKO. in this course of work I have also learned about the Internet of Things (IoT). I have also participated in workshops based on emerging technologies, innovations and development processes in the automation sector. I am an experienced classical dancer and have performed Telangana Folk Dance in Ravindra Bharathi. I have also gained first-hand experience in an active work-environment by hosting events during my time in college.

I have attained leadership experiences when I hosted events in college. I was given specified tasks, where I had to take complete responsibility of work and manage teams in the process. Such indulgence (activities) taught me the valuable lessons of teamwork and the unparalleled essence of collective-effort. Hence, with everything combined, I was able to hone my leadership and community-building skills to a significant level.

I have developed inclusive values when it comes to society and community-building. As for technology and the realm of innovation, my value-base motivates me to bridge the gap between technology and ecology, so that as we develop and heighten the mode of convenience, we may also simultaneously address the larger issues at hand, ones that seems to be hampering the harmonious balance of our environment. In short, my values motivate me to learn about technologies so that I (in unison) may be able to develop things (technologies) that speak for the progress of our human civilization as well as the environment we sustain ourselves upon.

My goal is to establish myself as a renowned professional in the field of technology. Seeing that my own home country is about to become one of the leaders in IT infrastructure and emerge as a data-intensive economy, it becomes vital for aspirants like me to explore and vehemently hone our knowledge-base as well as skill-sets, to eventually contribute to the pace of immersive development and make India a significant part of the global village.
